Fifty Thousand, Four Hundred and Nine

Happy August! I wanted to give a quick update from my post a week ago that discussed Camp Nano WriMo progress 🙂

On July 23rd I was a little behind schedule, but still pleased to have penned over thirty thousand words. Fast forward till July 29th and I needed to pen 4000 words over the final 2 days. Considering the last two days of July were the weekend, I was optimistic this could be achieved!

I have been able to make great writing progress over July, once again using the application know as Otter. Many of my ‘writing’ moments were in 1-3 minute blocks of talking into the application.

The app then transcribes it and I edit it as necessary. This has been such a life saver of a writing tool! Especially as I have a young baby and very little time during the day to be in front of a computer and typing.

Over Saturday I was able to catch up and get ahead with my word count. And the end result on Sunday July 31st was fifty thousand, four hundred and nine words written.

I’ll no doubt cut out some and add in others as I continue to edit the stories I was working on, but I’m pleased to have hit the goal and most especially, to have the next two Free Rein books written and edited. I finished editing Free Rein #16, Made by Design last night. Next step – covers and blurbs!
