Over the past week or so, there have been a number of things that I have read and heard that are focusing on perspective and context. It seems quite the theme currently but all the more interesting to me because of the recent book I have finished writing. Free Rein #11 to be titled Context, looks at putting things into perspective and not taking them out of context.
I’m pleased to have finished this next Free Rein book that is due for release later in the month. It does seem interesting to me though that many things I am reading of late, are around this theme:
- The Word for Today October 16 Devotional
- A recent conversation on Vision Radio touched on this
- A post I have just read after discovering a new page on Facebook
My mother taught me about the RAS psychology – reticular activation system – when I was younger. If you’re interested in something, you will become more aware of it in society. For example, if you want a particular colour and make of a car, you will notice that model of car in that specific colour whenever it passes you.
This could be a similar thing. However it seems interesting to me that a devotional I read, a radio station I listen to and a blog I have stumbled across tonight, have all explored perspective and context recently.
I hope that as this book is released, it will encourage younger readers to consider the bigger picture with an awesome God in control. Stay tuned for the release of Context this month!
