Hi everyone! This year is fast getting away from me – each day seems so filled with tasks to complete that I cannot believe we’re already 25% of the way through 2021! I am encouraging myself daily to focus on the completion of one particular task. It’s easier to make progress out of the multitude of projects I have on the go if I focus on bringing one to completion, rather than a little of half a dozen or so!
So my April focus is going to be penning one word at a time, with (hopefully) focused writing time, daily. That said, if it doesn’t happen on any given day, I’m going to accept that. It’ll be school holidays, I will still be working 4 days a week, I have 3 young children. And of course, there is Easter, family time and a birthday for us to celebrate, all in the first week of April. So we’ll see how things go!
But when I do get time to tackle my one project in April, I will be writing. I am currently working on the thirteenth book in the Free Rein series. The idea for this story is slowly coming to me as I take the time to think about it. So we’ll see how that progresses 🙂
I also hope to work on The Chemistry of Horses. I know, I know – I just said I had too many projects on the go and would focus on one to bring it to completion. My one focus is to write this month.
Which book progresses is irrelevant, as long as I am adding words to one of my stories! I’d rather make progress with one of two books, then struggle to move forward with one book because that one book was my focus for the month. No doubt as I pen words in April, I’ll be keeping a running tally on the NaNoWriMo site. But I’ll keep a running progress too over at Facebook on my author page. You’re welcome to check in there 🙂
