A Dollar Goes a Long Way has been finished and is currently being proofed.  I thought I’d share the blurb with you!

Jacqui, Geordie and Hannah are off to visit Hannah’s Aunt Jan again, this time to help her with a horse show. Dollar, a chestnut mare with a flaxen mane and tail needs a smaller rider for the show she’s been entered into and the three girls are only too eager to help get her ready and present her in the show.

The girls find their efforts rewarded with a monetary gain. Pleased that a little mare named Dollar also resulted in them getting some money, where their new found riches should be invested comes into question.

God teaches us to give a small amount from the multitude He’s blessed us with. As Jacqui learns about this concept, she realises it’s not only her finances that she can invest to reach out to others.

Magic Hoof School is a great short story for the younger reader about a little black colt named Flutter.  Flutter is so excited about his first day of school, but his mother is nervous and keen to know that her baby is ok.

Flutter excitedly heads off to Magic Hoof School with his friend, his mother unknowingly following behind.  Magic Hoof School explores what Flutter’s mother gets up to as she tries to make sure her colt is ok.  A gorgeous little read with a great moral to the story.

Suitability – great for the younger reader, some wonderful illustrations.

Age – probably suited to 4 years +
