It’s now just passed mid-November and NaNoWriMo is over half way through! I am pleased to say that just over 22,000 words had been penned at the halfway mark for this new novel that I am working on. I had an idea for this novel as I outlined at the end of last month. Although I have been working on this idea, I have not had any clear plans about a title for this novel.
As the story has been developing, Nate Jacobs, the male protagonist has developed into a science teacher at the local school. He has a fascination with compost and a recurring them of discussing how God can create situations in your life that are similar to compost – nourishing and allowing things to grow – has developed. And suddenly it seems to me that a title as simple (and unusual) as God and Compost may be fitting.
Although the title seems to aptly describe one of the recurring themes of conversation between the lead male and female in the story, I do question just what impression it would give readers as to the content of the book? How can this be linked with a country, horse Christian romance? I’m still working on that one.
