About Christine Meunier

Hi!  In case you couldn’t tell, I love horses 😉  I also love God, my husband and my children.  Consequently, I feel very blessed to live the life that I do.  So who is Christine Meunier?

I am an Australian woman who lives in Victoria, Australia with my husband and two children.  I was introduced to horses at the age of 13 when my parents leased a horse for me.  They then bought him for my 14th birthday – lucky me!

I learned as much as I possibly could with my gelding, Pride.  Also, I read any book I could get my hands on that related to horses!  I have been studying horses from 16 years of age, starting with a Certificate II in Horse Studies.  I completed a Bachelor of Equine Science in 2015 and have done many other courses in between!

My background has included working on numerous thoroughbred studs in North East Victoria, then studying at the Irish National Stud.  I have also worked at some horse riding schools in Melbourne both as a stable hand and instructor.  In time I headed over to South Africa and rode endurance and trail horses on the Wild Coast.

In time I was offered a teaching position relating to horses and took this opportunity.  It lead to teaching the Certificate III in Agriculure (Horse Breeding) and later I took on another teaching role at a Diploma level that related to breeding horses.

I now focus my energy on writing horse books that are educational and entertaining, horse educational resources and Equus Education, which focuses on horse careers around the world.

  1. Hey Christine!
Remember me? I’m the one with Pie An Old Brown Horse. Turns out he hd been accidently printed without his final edit. I had no idea until you and someone else told me. Thank you for that, it was quite helpful. You will be happy to know he was pulled from production and was re-edited. After 168 edits, he is ready to go the right way this time. MCV Egan thought we might want to connect and cross promote. What do you think? Would you like me to help you promote your book? Kandy

  2. Hello Christine, your Mum told me about your book – what a huge task with so many pages! I have just had a book printed titled ‘Thank God I Had a Stroke’ and the challenge for me was that the stroke has left me with ‘Alexia without Agraphia’ which means I cannot read BUT I can write. My husband had to read each page to me as I wrote it – can you imagine just how difficult this was? But I managed it and it is now in print. I will look forward to reading your book as I grew up with horses and rented or owned one for many years. I have actually written a children’s book on the life of ‘Sri’ (my horse)and like you, taking many of the experiences that I had as a child growing up in the bush with horses. I have not tried to have it published – perhaps I should think of it!

    Good luck
    Barb
